Hold Hands The next time you're walking together, snuggle up beside your spouse and take his/her hand. It makes him/her feel special and creates unity. This simple act of love is a public display of your commitment to each other.
Viewer Comments By - Sue from Zeeland, MI on 05/23/2008 We like to hold hands while we pray. It makes the part where "two shall become one" even more that way, or when a "cord of three strands cannot be broken"-meaning that you have to have God, your spouse, and then yourself together. You have to have all three for your marriage to work. By - Helen from Holland, MI on 05/22/2008 We love to hold hands anytime we can. Life is very busy for us and the small gesture makes us feel connected and calm about life. By - Kimberly from Zeeland, MI on 05/22/2008 We like to hold hands when we are out by ourselves without our 3 boys. It makes us feel young, like we are dating again. We get that jittery feeling again! It makes me feel special walking hand in hand, like I am at the top of the world! By - Laura from Wyoming, MI on 05/21/2008 When we go out for an evening alone, like we often did before our son was born. Walking up to the restaurant, watching a movie. It makes us feel as if were reconnecting. It's each others hands in the parking lot and not our four year olds!! By - Mark from Holland, MI on 05/21/2008 As we're laying in bed, just before falling asleep, discussing our days events. By - Patricia from Otsego,MI on 05/21/2008 Especially in church- we feel very connected- also in bed, just lying there quietly talking about the day By - Sid from Falkville, AL on 05/21/2008 During prayer, any prayer. We made a promise to each other that no matter how mad we get, we would always hold hands during prayer. That has never failed until last week. Pray for us. By - Marilyn from Holland on 05/20/2008 We like to hold hands whenever and where ever we are. It is a sign of our commitment to each other even after 50 years of marriage. By - Joy from Galloway OH on 05/20/2008 I think the time I enjoy holding my husband's hand the most is when we are in worship service and worshiping together. The act of holding our hands together turned upward to God offering our praise is very special. By - Randy from Williamsburg on 05/20/2008 I love to hold her hand when we walk, but the best time is when we pray. Korea, I am thrilled to hold my husband's hand any time! I have only seen him four times since last summer; when I do see him, I can't get enough of hand holding. I try to store it up to last me until our next quick visit. I am proud to hold the hand of a brave member of our military who works so hard and has sacrificed so much for our country and our family! |
