    Mission Statement

Winning At Home encourages people at all ages and stages of family development to lead Christ-centered homes. We seek to do this through radio programming, conference speaking, books, and other multi-media resources–all designed to offer hope and renewal to individual lives.

    Where We Began

In 1995, Dan Seaborn sensed God leading him to establish a ministry for families. On faith alone, he took a leap and became officially incorporated. He based his new ministry out of his home in West Michigan and began accepting speaking engagements at churches and corporations. This was the start of what has become known as Winning At Home.

Despite small-scale beginnings, Winning At Home was blessed and its influence expanded. Dan was offered speaking opportunities across the United States, at marriage conferences and Promise Keepers men’s events. He established a position for himself on national radio. He also published several books on marriage and family and began producing media resources.

Over time, Winning At Home branched out even further. Staff members were added to broaden the corporation’s scope and reach. A Wellness Department was launched to provide counseling services to the West Michigan area. A studio was built to accommodate continual radio and production needs.

Today, Winning At Home comprises a staff of people who produce resources, host special events, and offer help and support for marriages and families. Although the organization has changed significantly since its beginnings, our vision remains the same: helping families “win at home”.

    Statement of Faith

    We Believe…

In one God, creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and externally co-existing in three persons – Father; Son and Holy Spirit.

The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant, and trustworthy Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of human beings, and the final authority for all matters about which it speaks.

That human nature derives from two historical persons, male and female, created in God’s image. They were created perfect, but they sinned, plunging themselves and all human beings into sin, guilt, suffering and death.

That the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ and His bodily resurrection provide the only ground for justification, forgiveness and salvation for all who believe, and only those who trust in Him alone are born of the Holy Spirit, are true members of the Church, and will spend eternity with Christ.

That the Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and renewal for believers in Jesus Christ, that He makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers, and that He comforts, guides, convicts and enables believers to live in ways that honor Him.

That ministry to persons acknowledges the complexity of humans as physical, psychological, social and spiritual beings.  The ultimate goal of Christian counseling is to help others move to personal wholeness, interpersonal competence, mental stability and spiritual maturity.
