Ann is highly experienced in helping parents work through the frustrations and struggles they are having with their challenging children. She brings biblical grounding, neuroscience proven strategies as well as empathy, calmness and understanding from her own personal experience parenting children with challenging and frustrating behaviors. She especially loves working with moms who are struggling with their child’s behaviors and giving them strategies, confidence, freedom and hope for dealing with defiance, disrespect, frustration, inflexibility, ADHD, anxiety and anger.
Ann currently is parenting 4 children, 2 in college, one in high school and one in elementary school. She has both biological, foster and adoptive children in her home. Together with her husband Jeff, they have parented over 30 children through traditional and transitional foster care. She also uses her education in Spanish on a daily basis in her home. Ann has learned to shift from traditional parenting methods to methods that help each child’s individual needs. Her certifications range from a certified Heart-Strong Parent Coach, a trauma parenting trainer for Bethany Christian Services, as well as a Families Count parenting class trainer.
Ann has always been very active in her church and has served in several leadership roles. She loves learning about trauma, the body and the brain (she even reads about it on vacation). She enjoys spending time at home with friends and family while creating delicious gluten-free meals with her husband.
