Bob Herman, MA, LPC

Bob Herman loves to pursue a strong, caring, supportive bond with the people he counsels in order to help them discover their true identity, replace negative and worrisome thoughts and find freedom to be exactly who God created them to be. He is most passionate about walking alongside young people, adolescents in particular. Bob sees the many negative effects and mental health struggles that come with fears, hurts, insecurities and struggles to find self and find mutually supportive relationships with others. Bob is also equipped and available to counsel couples, including premarital counseling.

Prior to obtaining his Master’s Degree in Counseling Ministries with a specialization in youth  and families from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, Bob spent the first part of his vocational life in full-time ministry at a Christian camp that served under-privileged children and youth. He has also served as a youth and family Pastor, an associate Pastor and then, most recently, he was a counselor in a crisis counseling center.

Bob is happily married to his wife Amelia. They are the parents of three daughters and one son. He is most content just spending time with his family, on dates with his wife or hanging out with one of his children. He also enjoys a good jog or hike and exploring the great outdoors.
