Community Events

Community events are a unique opportunity for us to combine the strength of community with the joy of relationships.

Whether to support our mission or strengthen bonds of trust and love in relationships, our events are done in creative and fun ways that make the information easy to receive, retain and carried through in relationships.

Event Sponsorships Available

We strive to keep our ticket prices affordable for all of our events. We can do that more easily when we engage sponsors who help us cover some of the costs. If any of these events have been meaningful to you or your family and you are able to sponsor them in any way, please contact Julie Aardema at julie@winningathome.com.

Community Events

These events are open to the community for an affordable fee to learn, grow and have fun in their relationships.

Trailblazer 5K & Half Mile Fun Run

Join Winning At Home for our first Trailblazer 5K and Half Mile Fun Run. Runners and walkers of this event come together benefitting WAH Missions. Physical activity is good for mental health! Help your family’s mental health while you help support our trailblazing efforts locally, nationally and globally.

Family Softball League

This is a family-friendly fun co-ed league that happens every summer and fall. All skill levels are welcome, from people who have never swung a bat to experienced players. It’s a great night out once a week for players and their families. This league provides a fun way to play in a competitive, yet God-honoring way while having fun strengthening community.

Group Coaching Events

Group coaching events are created throughout the year around a particular topic and led by one of our certified coaches. Group events enable individuals to join with a group of people who all desire to improve or expand in a particular area of their life. These group events generally have limited participation so registering early is usually encouraged.

There are no upcoming events at this time.

Legacy Luncheon

We hold this free event every year in October to honor those couples who have been married 50 years or more. We serve a delicious meal and then words of encouragement and recognition are spoken over the group.

Premarital Workshop

A lively event occurring normally in the Spring and designed for engaged or newly married couples that offers practical wisdom from a variety of speakers in order to help couples build a strong foundation for their marriage. Topics include nine solid principles for marriage, along with practical advice about communication, finance, intimacy and the covenant of marriage. This fun, one day event is approved by many area churches that require premarital counseling.

Father Daughter Winter Ball

One of our most popular events is an enchanted evening for dads and their special girls. It happens in December each year over two nights. It features a wonderful dinner, a little dancing and a few other surprises. This night was created to help strengthen the father-daughter bond that is so influential in a girl’s life.

More on Sex, Culture & God

Winning At Home has customized an event to help educate youth and parents around Sex, Culture & God. To discuss customizing this event for your church or learn more, contact us at hometeam@winningathome.com.

Mother & Son Barn Bash

Just in time to celebrate Mother’s Day, we hope you will join us for our annual Mother & Son Barn Bash that takes place in May at Post Family Farm. Mothers and sons will enjoy a delicious western-themed dinner, cornhole competition, wagon rides, line dance lessons and a framed picture commemorating the evening.

We serve over 1,500 people through our events each year.

Fundraising Events

These events are open to the community and designed to bring income to the organization to cover operating costs.

Celebration Banquet

This event takes place every other year and raises funds for the organization as well as celebrates the important work taking place. Individual tickets and table sponsorships are available as people are encouraged to invite friends to learn about the mission of the organization. Dan Seaborn shares his vision for the future at this event while recognizing the milestones we’ve achieved with the support we receive.

Partnered Events

These are events we can take on the road and present at your church or venue. You would be responsible for marketing the event and encouraging participants to attend.  For more information, contact Michelle Lampen at michelle@winningathome.com

Marriage Rendezvous

This is the ultimate date night where you can enjoy live musical performances, interactive presentations, and sound wisdom from Dan Seaborn and Dr. Peter Newhouse’s book “The Necessary Nine” which provide solid principals on how to build an extraordinary marriage. This evening of marriage celebration is designed to refresh and revitalize your relationship with your spouse. You will laugh, maybe dance or sway to popular love songs, and discover new ways to appreciate your spouse regardless of how long you’ve been married.  You’ll walk away with a renewed commitment to your marriage and to each other. This event can be taken on the road to your church or venue.

The Wonders of the World of Parenting

This event will help both married and single parents wade through the life cycle of parenting from young kids to teens, as well as adult children who may be parents. Dan Seaborn will share practical wisdom from his experience as a dad of four children. You will hear about Dan’s adventures, mishaps, and parenting tips through loving and humorous accounts of how his family deals with life. Dan will share his own personal struggles and victories too and give hope to those who feel they have failed. Participants will walk away with practical information that can be implemented almost immediately. This event can be taken on the road to your church or venue.

What People Are Saying About Our Events

“Most of our team have been playing together for 15+ years, and this is the most fun we have had. Such a great, laid-back, fun atmosphere and great talking with other players on the other teams. Excited to see this league grow.”
