Deborah has been serving individuals and families in the counseling field for over 20 years. She has experience counseling individuals dealing with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, marriage counseling, parenting, grief and loss, past trauma, stress management and navigating life’s transitions. Her counseling approach combines a faith-based, solution-focused model with a passion for helping families and individuals find freedom and hope in healing and building healthy relationships.

Deborah has counseled in a variety of settings including schools, churches and non-profit agencies. She is a part of author and researcher Brene Brown’s counseling community and a Certified Daring Way Facilitator™. Deborah is especially passionate about journeying with women in their exploration of identity and worth.  She has led seminars and workshops addressing these various themes.

Deborah provides tools and strategies to overcome obstacles that interfere with living the abundant life that God intends for us. She enjoys counseling with a practical, life-giving approach.  Her clients appreciate the safe place she provides for them to explore, grow and learn how to restore peace and beauty in their personal lives.

Deborah and her husband live in the Zeeland area. They have been blessed with four children and a fantastic daughter- and son-in-law. When she is not working, Deborah can be found reading, running, hiking, enjoying coffee with friends and finding adventure.
