Kristyn received her master’s degree in social work from Michigan State University. She cares deeply about the Hispanic community and is bi-lingual in English and Spanish, having obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from Grand Valley State University. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy. She has a passion for young children in foster care, children and adolescents with trauma and children struggling with anxiety, grief and adjustment disorders.
Kristyn seeks to provide a safe place for children to process their emotions, trauma and grief. She has extensive knowledge and training in play therapy and enjoys utilizing this with children eight and under. Her desire is to walk alongside children through whatever life obstacles they are currently experiencing and use the passion God has gifted her with to show children that they are loved and wanted.
She resides in West Michigan and has two sons and a Golden Retriever. She enjoys playing outdoors with the kids, reading and taking trips to Florida.
