Melodie graduated with a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Southeastern University. Since 2014, she has been counseling children and families in schools through child welfare and in outpatient facilities.

Through her experiences counseling, coaching high school soccer, volunteering in her church youth group and mentoring teen girls, Melodie understands the many struggles facing today’s youth. She strives to build trust with her clients by incorporating empathy along with a client-centered, strengths-based, supportive approach, which often includes practicing cognitive behavioral therapy. Melodie also leads clients to recognize the enemy’s deceit and equip them to believe the truth of who they are in Christ by working on a healthy mindset.

Melodie is passionate about directing her clients to become the men and women the Lord has intended them to become, whether she is treating them for depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, self-esteem or behavioral issues. She prays for and with her clients, knowing that there is power in seeking Jesus Christ.

Personally, Melodie enjoys spending time with her husband and one-year-old daughter. She enjoys playing sports, gathering with friends and doing anything outdoors.
