Steven is passionate about helping people who struggle with marriage and family issues, trauma, anxiety and depression, obsessive compulsive behavior, phobias, addictions and spiritual growth. He has a master’s degree in counseling as well as a Masters of Divinity in theology. He is trained in EMDR, a specific therapy that helps clients reduce the symptoms from trauma, and sexual addiction. He is certified in Prepare/Enrich and SYMBIS which are premarital counseling programs.  

 Steven believes there is nothing God cannot redeem. He knows there is no situation that is hopeless because we have God’s promises to rely upon and the general truth found in psychology to create healing changes in our life.  His formal education in both theology and psychology, along with his experience, help him utilize all possible resources to help bring about the change his clients desire.   

Steven also enjoys speaking in a variety of settings where he can address such topics as premarital education, coping with divorce, how to control anxiety and depression and a variety of marriage topics.  

Steven and his wife, Amie Jo, have been married for more than 15 years and have two children, Beckett and Brielle.
